1.) How do I use the NapaMax website?
 
 Tips on using the NapaMax website:


There are three main aspects of the NapaMax website. These are browse, create and confirm. However, before you do any of these you must first login and register. Registering on the NapaMax website allows you to view every wanted and available listing on the website. You cannot view these unless you have logged in and registered. This allows NapaMax to provide the information you want to anyone with whom you may want to exchange materials. This information will only be used if you decide to make a materials exchange. Your information is then only given to the person you are making the exchange with.

The Login Button is in the top, left hand portion of the screen, by clicking on this you will be taken directly to the Login Page. You then enter your information in along with a screen name and a password.



Browsing the NapaMax listings is an aide for you to find any material you want or need. After clicking the “Go” button under the “browse” icon, the Browsing page will appear. The left side of this page provides a multitude of ways that you can browse the listings. These include the choice if you want to browse “Available”, “Wanted”, or “Both” materials on the very top of the left hand side of your screen. However, if you are browsing in general, the center of the page conveniently includes the new listings.


Creating a listing on the NapaMax site involves clicking the “Go” button under the “Create” heading. If you have not already logged in, you must do so. After logging in, once again click on “Create”. This will then allow you to select the category that your listing would be under. After selecting your category you will be taken to a new screen where you will need to click on “Click to add Listing”. After doing this you will be shown a form to fill out information about your object(s). Your listing can either be available or wanted. If you are putting a listing of something you want, you simply click “Wanted Listing” on the left hand side of the screen. If you are posting a listing that you are making available, you click “Available Listing” on the left hand side of the screen. You can then enter your object(s) information underneath those headings. After you enter the information you must preview your listing. You can then make sure all of your information is correct and submit your listing. You can also edit/modify/remove your listings at any time from your user profile simply by clicking on "edit/view listings".

PLEASE NOTE: Your listing (wanted or available) will not be posted until a City of Napa moderator has reviewed and approved the listing for content; this may take up to 72 hours for approval, particularly over holidays/extended weekends.

While NapaMax does allow listing of items that are not free, we do not allow the posting of specific sale prices or dollars amounts; potential listers looking for this specific feature are encouraged to utilize other websites or publications (e.g., newspaper, penny saver ads, etc) if this is important to the potential lister.
