The City of Napa as well as other private agencies offers many local recycling services. Napa Recycling And Waste Services (NRWS) and Napa County Recycling And Waste Services provide curbside collection of the following materials:
Glass: All colors of beverage and food containers. (Empty and rinsed, labels okay)
Mixed Paper: Newspaper, magazines, paper bags, milk and juice cartons, carbonless paper, all colors of office paper, phonebooks, envelopes, junk mail, shredded paper, cardboard.
Metal: Aluminum / tin / steel cans, clean aluminum pans and foil, empty aerosol cans, scrap metal (36" or less), pots, pans, utensils, loose lids from jars.
Plastic Bottles: All California redemption value containers, narrow neck bottles #1-#7. Also, two private agencies called “Tomra Recycling Network” and “NexCycle” are drop- off recycling centers. These allow you to bring in used beverage containers with California Redemption Value (CRV) including aluminum cans, glass bottles, and a variety of plastic bi-metal and steel beverage containers. Tomra Recycling Network is located at 874 Jackson St. and 3375 Jefferson St. in Napa. NexCycle is located behind the Raley’s store located at 217 Soscol Ave. If you have any household hazardous wastes, there is a household hazardous waste collection facility (HHWCF) in Napa as well. It is located on 889A Devlin Rd. in American Canyon. The HHWCF is open during the summer (May-October) every Friday and Saturday from 9am-4pm. Through the months of November to April the HHWCF is open the 2nd and 4th weekend of each month on Fridays and Saturdays from 9am-4pm. There is no charge for service and no appointment is required.
